Eats & Drinks:
Food, Restaurants, Cafes, Bars & Lounges
Matador Room
Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten offers his distinctive modern interpretation of Latin cuisine at our Miami Beach hotel’s signature restaurant, Matador Room. Influenced by Spanish, Caribbean and South American flavors, the seasonal, locally sourced menu encourages sharing with both small and large plates. Various spaces offer distinct experiences, whether inside the historic, oval-shaped dining room or outside on the Matador Terrace, featuring beachfront views and an Ipe trellis with climbing bougainvillea.
Market At EDITION
A city that moves around the clock needs a restaurant that does, too. Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Market at EDITION offers a modern take on the classic Miami Beach eatery, presenting gourmet food in a casual setting. Bustling counters serve everything from pizzas, sandwiches, and ceviche to wine, smoothies and fresh juices. Part patisserie, part boulangerie, and part salumeria, Market at EDITION should be your first stop of the day and your last stop of the night.
Tropicale
Pairing ocean views and island tunes with light fare and refreshing cocktails, the tropically inspired and aptly named Tropicale offers a casual outdoor venue for all-day dining and entertainment in Miami Beach. The original Sundial restaurant and bar has been updated with a menu of savory and sweet cocktails and cuisine, available by the beach or pool, while an outdoor movie theater, bocce pitch, and Ping-Pong table offer endless entertainment.
Bars & Lounges:
Matador Bar
The Matador Bar pays homage to the classic cocktail experience with expertly crafted drinks incorporating the freshest ingredients and a dramatic solid walnut floating bar at its center. Black walnut-paneled walls are adorned with photographs from renowned French photographer Lucien Clergue’s Matador series, while the pool deck can be admired from jewel-toned velvet banquettes.
BASEMENT
BASEMENT is a new kind of multidimensional entertainment hub in Miami Beach. Here, guests will be able to choose among a dazzling range of environments, to be experienced one at a time, or together across a night. Adding a new layer to Miami Beach nightlife, BASEMENT features a nightclub, bowling alley, and ice-skating rink—all outfitted with a state-of-the-art sound system, as well as dramatic lighting and projection effects created by world-renowned lighting designer Patrick Woodroffe, a concert lighting specialist whose work has graced the stage shows of artists from the Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson to Lady Gaga and Beyoncé.
Basement Bowl
Adjacent to the nightclub is a four-lane bowling alley with oversize LED screen displays and interactive lighting synchronizing with the bowlers’ movements. With an exciting state-of-the-art sound system, dramatic lighting effects, luminescent bowling balls and even bowling shoes customized by famed artists, it redefines what a bowling alley is—it is reimagined into a 21st-century spectacle of socializing and fun.
Basement Skate
One of the most unique features at The Miami Beach EDITION is the 2,000 square-foot indoor ice skating rink. With skaters gliding to the beat of the pulsating state-of-the-art sound system, the ice’s surface comes alive as the canvas for spectacular, constantly color-changing, dramatic lighting effects. Through high windows, the rink, its ever-changing light shows, and the swirling choreography of the skaters create a surreal, almost Dali-esque sight for that outside on Collins Avenue.
Basement Miami
Basement Miami is a cutting edge “micro-club” and 21st-century homage to Ian Schrager’s legendary Studio 54. World-class DJs, dance floor, and soundstage-quality sound and lighting systems will transport guests in ways never expected. A visual riot and sensory overload, it is truly a serious dance club.
