Wedding, Event, Family and Couple Portraits by Manolo Doreste

Portrait Photography

Fee

Portrait photography is defined as any one of the following situations, or any combination thereof:

  • Anyone having a portrait taken at Vizcaya, including those celebrating their quinceañera, marriage, engagement, birthday, communion, pregnancy, graduation or another special occasion.
  • A photo session where a photographer (amateur, student or professional) has a subject(s) posing for a portrait with Vizcaya as the backdrop.
  • Any visit to Vizcaya involving photography, where the main purpose is portrait photography, rather than a recreational visit to the House and gardens.

Fees are collected at our Ticket Booth daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (however, Vizcaya is closed Tuesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). The portrait photography fee provides entry for up to 5 people, including the client and the photographer. Fees are non-refundable, permits are non-transferable, and permits are issued “rain or shine”.
No reservations are required.

Portrait photography fees are as follows including tax: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: $160.20 | Saturdays and Sundays: $267.00

Vizcaya is a National Historic Landmark filled with irreplaceable artwork, statues, and architectural elements. We ask you to support our mission to preserve Vizcaya during your portrait session by adhering to the rules and regulations, which are intended to ensure your safety and the safety and enjoyment of others. Please walk carefully around the grounds of Vizcaya, as there are many steps and our historic pavements are irregular. No props are allowed without specific approval and no outside food is permitted. Additional rules and regulations are listed in the document linked below.

Daytime Garden Ceremonies

Vizcaya offers the option of intimate daytime garden ceremonies for those who wish to celebrate a special occasion, such as a marriage or other form of personal commitment on our beautiful grounds. Daytime ceremonies may take place anywhere in the gardens during the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no access to the Main House for garden ceremony
clients or their guests.

Photographers may accompany the group.
We regret that we cannot allow chairs, wedding canopies or runners for the daytime garden ceremony. You may bring only hand-held chuppahs.

Vizcaya allows one hand-held instrument or personal (battery-powered) music player at an appropriate volume level to ensure the positive experience of our other visitors.

We suggest that our daytime garden ceremony clients consider a reception at the Vizcaya Café and Shop, drawing from our gourmet menu. Vizcaya does not allow food or drinks to be brought for or consumed
during garden ceremonies.

For additional information on receptions at the Café and Shop, contact
Paula Gooden paulag@ajoywallace.com or 305-856-8189
(capacity for these receptions is limited).
